DIPON® Silmoldcast Platinum 20 is a fully seelf-venting professional 2K RTV (room temperature vulcanising) silicone rubber and is suitable for the production of durable, detailed, elastic and sophisticated moulds. These moulds are suitable for any casting resin (including epoxy, polyester, PU resin), baking moulds (e.g. chocolate), sweets, biscuits, soap casting, alginates, plaster, concrete, art and many other applications. Suitable for manual and machine processing.

How to Use

Mix SILMOLDCAST PLATINUM 20 intensively in a ratio of 1:1 (component A + component B) according to weight proportions for approx. 2-3 minutes by weighing separately beforehand. In order to prevent excessive aeration of the material, the material is not moved/mixed too fast, i.e. not with more than 250 rpm.
After mixing, SILMOLDCAST PLATINUM 20 can be processed for up to ten minutes at 23°C, according to the time span the material is processed quickly.
After approx. 40 minutes at 23°C the cross-linking is completed and after approx. 45 min. at 23°C the workpiece can already be demoulded. To avoid fingerprints it is recommended to keep the curing time of 2-3 hours (23°C). The curing time is drastically reduced by increasing the temperature.
Attention! SILMOLDCAST PLATINUM 20 is a 2K addition curing product which must not be mixed with other systems.
