EPOXYPLAST 100P universal laminating and casting resin
DIPON® EPOXYPLAST 100 P Universal Resin is a low-viscosity, highly transparent epoxy resin for a wide range of applications, such as glass-like, coloured art and decorative applications or primers, stone carpets, carbon laminates, mould making, aquariums and terrariums. EpoxyPlast 100 P Universal Resin stands out for its good clarity, very good self-degassing and fast curing. EpoxyPlast 100P Universal Resin is used where outstanding UV protection is not required.

Why choose DIPON Epoxyplast 100P 0
- Small castings 0.1-1 cm — Allows small castings of 0.1-1 cm thickness (at 20 °C).
- Working time up to 30 min — A long working time of up to 30 min gives you enough time for mixing, pigmenting and degassing the mixture, depending on the amount of material.
- Ideal working temperature 15-22 °C — Cures even at low temperatures from 15 °C. The recommended temperature is 20 °C.
Main uses of EPOXYPLAST 100P epoxy resin
- Making transparent or coloured jewellery in silicone moulds with a casting height of 1-10 mm (larger castings are possible depending on room temperature and the amount of material <19°C).
- Making trays, coasters and much more.
- Making glass and carbon laminates.
- As a primer (penetrating epoxy resin), e.g. for open-pored wood (for river tables, lamp or furniture constructions, etc.), metal, concrete, screed.
- For making stone carpets, mortars, etc.
- For casting or laminating (e.g. spray lamination, pressing, infusion, vacuum, hand lamination)
How to use EPOXYPLAST 100P universal laminating epoxy resin
Before starting work, always check whether the epoxy resin component (component A) has crystallised. More information can be found in the technical data sheet under "Crystallisation (milky, viscous or cloudy mass in component A)"
To clean used application tools use acetone or universal thinner. Once the epoxy resin has cured, it can only be removed by sanding. Clean immediately after use.
EPOXYPLAST 100 P Universal Resin is weighed precisely into a clean container at a
mixing ratio of 2:1 by weight. Accurate weighing and mixing require a precise scale and two mixing containers. Do not mix by volume, as this can lead to an incorrect result.
First mix components A and B at max.
300 rpm for approx. 3-4 minutes.
The A+B mixture is then transferred to a new clean container, and the resin remaining on
the edges of the old container is dripped into the new one.
Mix again for 3-4 minutes
This process is important for getting the most homogeneous mixture possible.
Recommendations for using and storing EPOXYPLAST 100P casting epoxy resin
- Store the resin in a dry place at a minimum of 10 °C
- Protect from sunlight
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Resin and hardener should not be stored in an open container
- Apply where humidity is below 60% and the temperature is between 15 - 22 °C. Use a dehumidifier if needed
- The resin should be used within one year of purchase
Important instructions and SAFETY
- Storage below 20 °C can accelerate crystallisation.
- Crystallised components are decrystallised by carefully warming them to approx. 55 to 70 °C for several hours in a hot water bath, depending on the container size.
- In principle, it is important to keep the decrystallisation time as short as possible.
- The maximum temperature of 70 °C should not be exceeded.
- Once the epoxy resin (component A) has decrystallised, let it cool to a suitable working temperature (15 - 20 °C).
