Okinawa Blue. A lagoon you pour into resin.
Okinawa — an archipelago in southern Japan where turquoise shallows flow into deep blue depths. That is exactly the shade this pigment captures: blue with a subtle green undertone and the pearlescent sparkle of graded mica. In a low dose it creates translucent sea water for river tables and ocean art, in a higher one a full, silky metallic colour. And because it is mica, it works equally well in epoxy, soap, candles and car paint.

Mica doesn't argue with the material — the same jar colours epoxy, soap base, wax and lacquer.
Resin: river tables, jewellery, pen blanks
0.5–1 g/kg for translucent water, ~3 g/kg for a full pearl. 10–60 μm particles stay suspended in the mix — they don't sink even in a deep pour.
Soaps & candles
CP soap: 2 teaspoons per 450 g of oils. MP base: ½ teaspoon per 450 g. Candles: 5–10 % of the wax weight. Stable up to 300 °C.
Car paint & custom
The brand's DNA comes from the tuning scene: over a black base the colour darkens into a rich turquoise. Peelable film 50 g/gal, clear 25 g/gal, nozzle 1.2.

Natural mica with titanium and chromium oxides, classified according to the manufacturer's FDA data. No beating around the bush: this shade does not belong in lip cosmetics or bath bombs.

Frequently asked questions
How much pigment should I add to epoxy?
From our hands-on practice: 0.5–1 g per kg of mix for a translucent effect (river, sea water), ~3 g/kg for full colour, 5 g/kg for opaque coverage. Always mix it into a small amount of resin first, then into the rest.
Will the pigment sink in a deep pour?
Okinawa Blue has 10–60 μm particles that stay evenly dispersed in the mix. Only coarse pigments with 200–700 μm particles (e.g. flakes) can sink — letting the resin thicken slightly or stirring the mix during the process helps.
Which resin is it suitable for?
Any epoxy resin. For crystal-clear castings in which the pearl stands out, we recommend the systems DIPON LuminaCast — Ocean Flow for river tables, Gem Flow for jewellery.
Does Okinawa Blue glow in the dark?
No — it is a classic pearl (Solid Pearl). If you are looking for a glow effect, go for the series Glow in the dark, and for a glow under a UV lamp, for the Neon UV series.
Can I use it to colour soaps and cosmetics?
Yes — soaps (CP and MP), candles and external cosmetics including eyeshadows (FDA approved for external use and the eye area). It is not intended for lips or bath bombs.
