Rubio Monocoat Pre-Aging Authentic 6 - high-quality non-reactive wood primer
The high-quality non-reactive wood base coat Rubio Monocoat Pre-Aging comes in 10 basic colour shades. The colour range runs from a lighter to a dark smoked look and on to various shades typical of aged wooden surfaces. Because the individual shades can be mixed with each other, even the subtlest colour accents can be achieved to the customer's wishes. The result of this finish is a deep coloration of the surface, including sapwood and hard growth rings, and a natural wood look.

This product is a pre-treatment and does not protect the wood. For maximum protection it must be combined with one of our Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C finishing products.

Sand the wood surface carefully and remove the dust thoroughly with a vacuum cleaner
Apply the product from the bucket (RMC bucket) with an RMC microfibre pad
Use a good-quality brush at the edges and in corners.
Even out the surface by spreading the product with a beige pad
Spread in the direction of the wood grain and work on 2-3 boards at a time (depending on board width), leaving no excess anywhere.
Let it dry thoroughly for approx. 24 hours
in a well-ventilated room. While drying, blotches may appear on the surface depending on the direction of the wood fibres. This is normal; the blotches disappear once the surface has dried properly.
Once dry, remove raised fibres with a buffer fitted with a red
pad and vacuum the dust. Complete the finish with RMC Oil Plus 2C oil in the desired colour shade.

The company Muylle-Facon was founded in 1906. It made high-quality putties and sealants for woodworking companies and glaziers. Over time production expanded into construction chemicals, focusing on water-resistant materials, waterproof coatings and sealants used in construction.
