Rubio Monocoat Precolor Easy Pebble Grey - base coat for creating unique shades
Rubio Monocoat Precolor Easy colour base coat is designed for creating special colour effects in combination with Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C. Combining the 14 Precolor shades (which can be freely mixed with each other) with one of the 40 colours of the Oil Plus 2C range offers unlimited possibilities for colour combinations.

Sand the wood surface carefully; the final grit should be 100 to 150
The colour intensity depends on the sanding method used. When renovating, completely remove all residues of previous finishes (lacquer, oil, wax, etc.).
Vacuum thoroughly and remove remaining dust with Rubio Monocoat
Cleaner. Wait until the surface is completely dry (check the Rubio Monocoat Cleaner technical data sheet before use).
Stir the product thoroughly
Adjust the size of the treated areas so that you do not damage
areas already finished. If necessary, use masking tape to mark the boundaries. Apply Rubio Monocoat Precolor Easy with a good-quality brush and spread it with a Rubio Monocoat Scrubby Pad.
Let the surface dry for approximately 12 hours
The exact drying time depends on the substrate, humidity, temperature and ventilation.
After drying, sand down the raised wood fibres with a red
Scrubby Pad and then vacuum.
Apply Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C according to the correct application
instructions in the oil's technical data sheet. When used with Precolor Easy, it is best to apply the oil with a white Scrubby Pad instead of a beige or red one.

Tape off areas approx. 90 cm long along the length of the boards
Stir the product thoroughly
Apply Rubio Monocoat Precolor Easy with a Rubio Monocoat microfibre
pad. Make sure you use enough product and cover the whole area. Then smooth the area again with the same microfibre pad. Make sure the pad is thoroughly wrung out.
Skip an area and repeat step 5 for the next area
Finish the whole room this way and remove the tape. Let the surface dry for approximately 12 hours.
Tape over the untreated areas and apply Precolor Easy as described in
step 5. Repeat until the whole floor is treated. Then remove the tape (tip: stand on areas that are already dry to remove the tape).
