HoneyResin® Professional Artwork & Topcoat Epoxy is a very popular high viscosity, fast curing and crystal clear premium epoxy resin system for the production of decorative finishes and sealers throughout Europe. HoneyResin® features very advanced resin technology (including surface wetting, de-aeration, gloss leveling, flow) and has industry-leading anti-yellowing protection in its unique formulation. HoneyResin® impresses with a very high gloss level (>100 Gloss Units), extreme mechanical resistance (hardness >Shore D89), which is otherwise only known from warehouses or industrial floors. HoneyResin® is therefore particularly well suited for the production of (3D) floors, kitchen countertops, geode pictures, sealing of epoxy resin tables and floors and where a high-end finish is expected or as a coating for art objects (e.g. paintings). HoneyResin® uses a professional resin technology which renders the resin surface, among other things, as flat and as glossy as possible, which is not possible from any other resin on the market.

• Mixing ratio: 100:50 parts by weight (2:1), no volume blending
• High viscosity: Honey-like liquid 4500 mPas (A), 700 mPas (B), 2100 mPas (A+B)
• Working time: at 15°C approx. 65 min., at 20°C approx. 50 min., at 25°C approx. 30 min.
• Casting height (20°C): from 1 mm - 6 mm, up to 3 mm at 25°C
• Recommended material temperature: 18°C - 25°C
• Fast curing: approx. 22 h at 20°C, 16 h at 25°C ambient temperature
• Professional product: Formulated for professionals (studios, galleries, artists & industry)

• Above-average hardness: >Shore D 89 for enormous resistance as in industrial floors or in warehouses

Areas of application

• Production of highly transparent and decorative casts or similar;
• Production of jewellery, trays, coasters (including highly complex geode coasters);
• Production and sealing of 3D floors, kitchen worktops, head sealing of epoxy resin tables;
• Production of floors and or 3D floors in living spaces;
• Production of novel geode images with a focus on "resin art";
• As the main material for Petri Art effects in combination with dye, e.g. "Alcohol-Inks";
• For self-levelling coatings and surface repairs;
• For the production of complex resin paintings by casting, painting or rolling;
• Reconditioning of lacquer layers and coatings of furniture surfaces;
• As a high-end finish for so-called "piano lacquer";
• Production of doming casts;
• High gloss and hard counter surfaces;
• Tumbler-Art;

Important notes

• Room temperature: The most important parameter for successful processing of HoneyResin®. The recommended room temperature for processing HoneyResin® is at least 18°C with a maximum casting height of 0.6 cm. It is not possible to cast arbitrarily large areas at the maximum casting height because there is a direct connection between the exothermic reaction, the amount of material and the ambient temperature. If the exothermic temperature is too high, the result will be a yellow uneven mass.
• Mixing: Manually by stirring rod or electrically by whisk. The maximum speed should not exceed 300 rpm. After a mixing time of approx. 4 min. transfer the material into a new clean container and mix again for 3-4 min.
• After mixing: Process medium immediately.
