Product detailed description
Art Flow 3 kg. Resin for painting techniques and top coats.
Pack 3 kg — most popular pack — regular painting and top coats of smaller boards. High-viscosity system for resin artists: holds brushstroke texture, does not run off edges and creates a flawless glossy finish. Layer 1–20 mm, refractive index > 1.59.
From painting to the final gloss.
Art Flow is built for painting techniques, top coats of boards and tables, and sealing — everywhere density means control.
Paintings & painting techniques
The thick consistency holds strokes and paint texture.
Top coat for tables and boards

production

A density that holds strokes.
4100 mPa·s means a more paste-like flow: brush and spatula strokes hold their texture, layers do not spread and the final top coat gains the depth of glass.
- 4100 mPa·s — paint texture holds its shape
- A top coat with a flawless glossy finish
- UV absorbers + HALS — no yellowing in the long term
- Very low shrinkage < 0.1 %

The same DNA as the whole LuminaCast range.
Every LuminaCast system is made at DIPON's own production site in Germany: UV absorbers + HALS additives against yellowing, a formulation free of substances on the sVHC and CoRAP lists, and degassing components more than 70 % from renewable sources.
- UV absorbers + HALS — no yellowing in the long term
- Free of sVHC and CoRAP substances
- The systems in the range combine in a project — each has its role
Parameters you can rely on
Measured at 23 °C, 200 g, 20 mm layer — source: DIPON TDS
Compatible with wood, concrete, glass, metal, glass and carbon fibre fabrics, natural stone, silica sand, marble and granite.
Your first painting will work out too
Check the temperature
Material and surroundings at room temperature. High temperature = fast exotherm, yellowing and cracks.
Test the substrate
A preliminary compatibility test of the materials you are going to embed.
Weigh out exactly 2:1
Always by weight (100:50). Maximum deviation 0.1 % — more means a sticky film or a soft casting.
Mix twice for 3–4 minutes
Mix → pour into a clean container → mix again. Max. 300 rpm, ideally with with an Allway Helix mixer.
Paint it or pour over it
Strokes hold their texture, spread the top coat up to 20 mm. The surface is ready to demould after 16–24 hours.
⚠️ The most common mistake
Never mix by eye straight from bottles A and B. An inaccurate ratio = incomplete curing. Always weigh both components to the gram. Cleaning tools: acetone or universal thinner, immediately after use.
A set for resin art — resins that belong together
One painting, four roles: base, paint, precise detail and effects. Combine them.

Frequently asked questions
How thick a layer can I pour?
1–20 mm in a single layer at 20 °C. Next layer after 12–16 hours.
Is it suitable as a final top coat?
Yes — the thick consistency spreads across the surface, does not run off edges and cures to a glossy finish with the depth of glass.
How does it differ from the casting systems in the range?
By density: 4100 mPa·s holds stroke texture and layers. The range has other specialists for deep pours — every LuminaCast system has its role.
How much will 3 kg cast?
3 kg of mixture (components A + B) equals approximately 2.8 l of casting (density 1.07 kg/l). The calculator above works out the exact amount for your project.
Why is 3 kg the most popular pack?
It is the most versatile balance of quantity and storage — approx. 2.8 litres of mixture covers most common projects.
Your canvas is waiting.
