Product detailed description
Cell Flow 1.5 kg. Resin for cell effects and ocean waves.
Pack 1,5 kg — the ideal sample for first effect paintings and jewellery moulds. Medium-viscosity system with slow flow: cells, waves and geodes stay exactly where you put them. Enables techniques that thinner resins cannot do. Refractive index > 1.59.
Effects that hold their shape.
Cell Flow is built for effect art — ocean waves, cell structures and geodes, where slow flow decides the result.
Ocean waves & ocean art
A wave stays a wave — white foam and all.
Cell effects & lace
Cells hold their structure exactly where they formed.
Floral & pigment art
The pigment artwork does not spread.

and production

A wave stays a wave. A cell stays a cell.
A viscosity of 2500 mPa·s — the third highest in the range — means slow, controlled flow. The pigment artwork does not spread and techniques emerge that thinner systems cannot do.
- Slow flow — effects hold their shape
- Cell and wave effects (ideal for resin art according to the manufacturer)
- Next layer after 12–16 h — the painting grows day by day
- UV absorbers + HALS — no yellowing in the long term

The same DNA as the whole LuminaCast range.
Every LuminaCast system is made at DIPON's own production site in Germany: UV absorbers + HALS additives against yellowing, a formulation free of substances on the sVHC and CoRAP lists, and degassing components more than 70 % from renewable sources.
- UV absorbers + HALS — no yellowing in the long term
- Free of sVHC and CoRAP substances
- The systems in the range combine in a project — each has its role
Parameters you can rely on
Measured at 23 °C, 200 g, 20 mm layer — source: DIPON TDS
Compatible with wood, concrete, glass, metal, glass and carbon fibre fabrics, natural stone, silica sand, marble and granite.
Your first wave will work out too
Check the temperature
Material 20–24 °C, surroundings 20–25 °C. High temperature + large volume = strong exotherm, yellowing and cracks.
Test the substrate
A preliminary compatibility test of the materials you are going to embed.
Weigh out exactly 2:1
Always by weight (100:50). Maximum deviation 0.1 % — more means a sticky film or a soft casting.
Mix twice for 3–4 minutes
Mix → pour into a clean container → mix again. Max. 300 rpm, ideally with with an Allway Helix mixer.
Create effects
50 minutes for waves, cells and transitions — the slow flow holds the artwork. You can demould after 16–24 hours.
⚠️ The most common mistake
Never mix by eye straight from bottles A and B. An inaccurate ratio = incomplete curing. Always weigh both components to the gram. Cleaning tools: acetone or universal thinner, immediately after use.
A set for resin art — resins that belong together
One painting, four roles: base, paint, precise detail and effects. Combine them.

Frequently asked questions
How thick a layer can I pour?
1–20 mm in a single layer at 20 °C. Next layer after 12–16 hours.
How do cells and waves form?
The basis is Cell Flow's slow flow: the pigment artwork holds and does not spread. Cells and the white foam of waves arise from combining suitable pigments with the pouring technique — with thinner systems the effect dissolves.
Can I add a layer the next day?
Yes — the next layer after 12–16 hours (20 °C), demoulding after 16–24 hours. The painting grows day by day.
How much will 1.5 kg cast?
1.5 kg of mixture (components A + B) equals approximately 1.4 l of casting (density 1.07 kg/l). The calculator above works out the exact amount for your project.
Is 1.5 kg enough to try it out?
Yes — approx. 1.4 litres of mixture is enough for first smaller projects and colour tests before you move to a larger pack.
