Why Art Flow

A density that holds strokes.

4100 mPa·s means a more paste-like flow: brush and spatula strokes hold their texture, layers do not spread and the final top coat gains the depth of glass.

  • 4100 mPa·s — paint texture holds its shape
  • A top coat with a flawless glossy finish
  • UV absorbers + HALS — no yellowing in the long term
  • Very low shrinkage < 0.1 %

DIPON quality

The same DNA as the whole LuminaCast range.

Every LuminaCast system is made at DIPON's own production site in Germany: UV absorbers + HALS additives against yellowing, a formulation free of substances on the sVHC and CoRAP lists, and degassing components more than 70 % from renewable sources.

  • UV absorbers + HALS — no yellowing in the long term
  • Free of sVHC and CoRAP substances
  • The systems in the range combine in a project — each has its role

Step by step

Your first painting will work out too

1

Check the temperature

Material and surroundings at room temperature. High temperature = fast exotherm, yellowing and cracks.

2

Test the substrate

A preliminary compatibility test of the materials you are going to embed.

3

Weigh out exactly 2:1

Always by weight (100:50). Maximum deviation 0.1 % — more means a sticky film or a soft casting.

4

Mix twice for 3–4 minutes

Mix → pour into a clean container → mix again. Max. 300 rpm, ideally with with an Allway Helix mixer.

5

Paint it or pour over it

Strokes hold their texture, spread the top coat up to 20 mm. The surface is ready to demould after 16–24 hours.

⚠️ The most common mistake

Never mix by eye straight from bottles A and B. An inaccurate ratio = incomplete curing. Always weigh both components to the gram. Cleaning tools: acetone or universal thinner, immediately after use.

What you ask

Frequently asked questions

How thick a layer can I pour?

1–20 mm in a single layer at 20 °C. Next layer after 12–16 hours.

Is it suitable as a final top coat?

Yes — the thick consistency spreads across the surface, does not run off edges and cures to a glossy finish with the depth of glass.

How does it differ from the casting systems in the range?

By density: 4100 mPa·s holds stroke texture and layers. The range has other specialists for deep pours — every LuminaCast system has its role.

How much will 1.5 kg cast?

1.5 kg of mixture (components A + B) equals approximately 1.4 l of casting (density 1.07 kg/l). The calculator above works out the exact amount for your project.

Is 1.5 kg enough to try it out?

Yes — approx. 1.4 litres of mixture is enough for first smaller projects and colour tests before you move to a larger pack.
