How much epoxy resin do I need for a table?
As a rule of thumb, allow 1 kg of resin per 1 litre of volume of the cavity being poured. For a typical river table (200 × 90 cm, 15 cm gap, 4 cm deep) that is roughly 10–12 kg. The technical data sheet of your system will help with the exact calculation.
Which resin should I choose for table making?
For deep pours, use a low-viscosity casting resin with a long curing time (3–5 days) and layers up to 10 cm. For the final table surface, apply a table top or Top Coat layer with UV stabilisation against yellowing.
How do I prevent bubbles and yellowing?
First seal the wood with a penetrating resin, pour in layers and remove bubbles with a heat gun. To prevent yellowing, choose a system with a UV filter and keep the table out of prolonged direct sunlight.
