BR-150 Light Brown. A super glue in the colour of light wood.
Starbond BR-150 is a medium-flow super glue (150 cPs) that cures to a warm amber-brown tone. It blends with oak, maple, cherry and other medium-dark woods — you repair cracks and knots without mixing glue with sawdust. It wicks into narrow joints, bonds tight-fitting parts and fills small gaps; it sets in 20–30 seconds.
Where does BR-150 sit on the viscosity scale?
150 cPs is the viscosity of the all-purpose EM-150 — just in the colour of light wood. It wicks into a crack, fills a small gap and doesn't spread over the surface.

Bonds wood and other materials
The coloured glues are built mainly for wood. But they also bond metal, ceramics, rubber, leather and most plastics — roughen hard-to-bond smooth surfaces before gluing (manufacturer).
Which coloured Starbond should you choose?
Choose the colour by the wood and the viscosity by the size of the crack. Tip: take BR-150 for light and medium-dark wood, BR-500 for walnut and darker woods. For clear joints and CA finishes choose the clear EM glues.

Which wood is BR-150 suited to?
It cures to a warm amber-brown tone that blends with oak, maple, cherry and other medium-dark woods. For walnut the darker BR-500 is a better fit.
How does BR-150 differ from BR-500?
BR-150 is lighter (amber) and medium-flow (150 cPs) — it wicks into cracks. BR-500 is dark brown (coffee) and thicker (500 cPs) — it fills knots and voids in dark wood.
Why use an accelerator with a coloured glue?
Coloured glues set more slowly than clear ones, and in a thicker layer (a knot, a void) they can take a very long time to harden without accelerator. That is why the manufacturer strongly recommends an accelerator for filling cracks, knots and voids — apply the fill in layers and spray each one.
Do I have to mix the glue with sawdust?
No — that is the advantage of a coloured glue. The fill is wood-coloured straight from the bottle, so you repair cracks and knots without preparing a mix.
Is super glue the same as CA glue?
Yes. Super glue, instant glue and CA glue all mean the same type — a cyanoacrylate adhesive that sets by reacting with moisture in the air within seconds to tens of seconds.
How should the glue be stored?
Cool (ideally in the fridge at 4.5 °C or below, not in the freezer) and dry, with the bottle tightly closed. After use, wipe the tip and fit the pin cap.

What you ask us about Starbond
How is Starbond different from an ordinary superglue from the shop?
Industrial-grade cyanoacrylate purity, a precisely defined viscosity and fresh batches. An ordinary glue comes in one thickness and you have no idea how long it sat in a warehouse. Starbond has six viscosities from 2 to 2000 cP, each for a different job, and a 30-month shelf life.
Which viscosity should I pick if I’m not sure?
EM-150 Medium. At 150 cP (roughly motor oil) it will both seep into gaps and fill smaller voids — one glue for wood, stone, ceramics, leather and most plastics. Sets in 10–20 seconds.
What is the accelerator for, and do I need it?
CA glue cures with airborne moisture — the accelerator triggers the reaction instantly. It pays off with thick glues, large fills and on dry wood, where the glue would cure slowly. Spray the other side of the joint, not the glue itself.
How should I store Starbond so it lasts?
Cool, dry and tightly closed — ideally in the fridge (let it warm to room temperature before use, or moisture will condense). Wipe the bottle after use so the neck doesn’t glue shut. Unopened, it lasts 30 months.
